Wordless Wednesday: Howard Peeples park!

Saturday I left Cracker Barrel I wanted to go do something. So, we got some food then, headed to the park. After we were there for a bit Brayden's friend from Pre-k, Kai, and his family came to the park. Kai was SO excited Brayden was there. He said to his siblings "hey! Look it's Brayden! Hey Brayden! Wow! I can't believe Brayden is here!" It was the cutest thing ever. He lead Brayden everywhere by hugging him. He pushed Brayden on the swing. Mind you, they are the same size. Cuteness overload.

Spooktacular 2014!

Sunday we went to the zoo. We wanted to go to Spooktacular (Jacksonville, Florida Zoo). So, we went to the zoo early and bought our tickets early for Spooktacular. We have a zoo pass so, we explored a little, left to go get food then, came back for the event dressed up!

Celebrate Spooktacular's Lands of Enchantment with:
  • Charlie Brown's Pumpkin Patch
  • The Fairgrounds with bounce houses and a giant inflatable slide
  • Kingdom of Far Far Away
  • Nightmare before Christmas
  • Pirates Cove
  • DJ's spinning kid-friendly Halloween music
  • Special Spooktacular food menus in each of the Zoo's two restaurants
  • Jack o'lanterns galore
  • Select animal exhibits open including giraffes, bobcats, alligators, jaguars, and reptiles and primates in the Lost Temple
  • Candy stations throughout the Zoo
  • Scare Zones! The Witch's Castle, Land of the Zombie and The Dragon's Lair (not recommended for children under the age of 10)
Go! Check it out! You won't regret it.

Scarecrow Stroll 2014!

HALLOWEEN SEASON! One thing we look forward to every year is the Scarecrow Stroll. It's an event our city (St. Marys, GA) does in their downtown area. A couple days before the event businesses in the area make scarecrows to display downtown. The businesses that made the scarecrows set up booths/tables by their scarecrows and pass out candy at the stroll. It's fun and safe. This year I had to work so, we arrived near the end and didn't get a TON of candy. Oh well though. We had fun! This was the first time Rj could come with us, which was great.

I originally wanted Brayden to be the man in the yellow hat and Lincoln be Curious George. Brayden wanted to be George and I couldn't find anything for man in the yellow hat. SOOO, back up plan. I still had Brayden's giraffe costume from when he was 14 months old. Brayden's costume this year is a monkey and Lincoln is a giraffe.

See our Scarecrow Stroll last year and the year before.
